CORVALLIS, Ore. – LC State Men’s Basketball swept the Cascade Conference individual weekly awards a day after being named the CCC Under Armour Team of the Week. John Lustig was voted the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Alton Hamilton was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

JOHN LUSTIG – MEN'S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lustig had a strong weekend offensively with 20 points per game to help LC State to two key CCC wins. The junior scored 20 points in each game against two of the top teams in the conference. He had eight total assists and shot .640 from the floor. Lustig grabbed nine rebounds to assist on the defense. He assisted on 20 points and his defense led to eight.

This is the first weekly honor of Lustig’s career. 

ALTON HAMILTON – MEN'S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hamilton notched his 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season over the weekend to help LC State to two key wins. The sophomore averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds per game with a .625 shooting percentage from the floor. He tallied 10 field goals in each game, a career-high, for 22 points in each. He grabbed 14 rebounds against No. 24 Oregon Tech and 12 against Southern Oregon. His defense led directly to 19 points between the two games.

This is Hamilton’s third weekly honor this season but first as Defensive Player of the Week. He has earned four CCC weekly awards in his career.
