KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Twelve LC State winter student-athletes earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, announced by the national office on Wednesday. The Warriors were represented by seven women's basketball players, three dancers and two men's basketball players.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
LC State Women's Basketball led the way with seven Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, led by senior
Ellie Sander. Juniors
Lindsey Wilson,
Sitara Byrd and
Payton Hymas earned the honor, as did redshirt-sophomore
Camden Barger and sophomores
Tatum Brager and
Grace Beardin.
Warrior Dance had three earn the honor, all doing so for the first time in their careers.
Greta Boreson,
Zoe Kempton and
Keirstan Knutson met the qualifications to be named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Grayson Hunt and
John Lustig earn earned the honor for the second time in their careers to represent LC State Men's Basketball.
