WALLA WALLA, Wash. – No. 24 LC State Men's Tennis faced NCAA Division III Whitman for the third time this season on Saturday. After winning the first two matchups, the Warriors fell to the Blues 4-3 in Walla Walla.
Whitman earned the doubles point after taking two of the three matches.
Pablo Herrera and
Cesar Coloma teamed up for a 6-3 win in the top spot, but the Blues won at Nos. 2 and 3.
Freshman Giacomo earned a win in straight sets by scores of 6-3, 6-3 in No. 2 singles, and
Austin Swing won in the fourth spot by scores of 7-6, 6-3.
Gautam Balakrishnan earned the third point for the Warriors with a win in straight sets in the No. 5 spot. He defeated his opponent by scores of 6-2, 6-0.
UP NEXT
LC State will face Whitman for the fourth time on Apr. 12 after the Warriors take on DI Northern Arizona on Apr. 5.
