LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Men's Cross Country added to its roster for next season with the signing of Nathan Hiatt out of Port Orchard, Wash. He will graduate from South Kitsap High School this spring.

Hiatt has been on South Kitsap's varsity team all four seasons and continues to get faster. He ran a career-best time of 16:53 this year at the 5k distance with the final part of the season still to go.

Hiatt has consistently improved by more than a minute each year in high school and advanced to districts last season.

"We are excited about Nathan," coach Dr. Michael Collins said. "He has been communicating with us for a few years now about his desire to become a Warrior, so it is exciting to see this about to happen. We have no doubt he is going to bring some great energy and enthusiasm to the team. His running has been showing great progress through high school, and we will be working to continue the progress once he enters our system here. Great student and great kid. A perfect fit for our family."
