NAIA TOP 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With one race left in the regular season, the women of LC State Cross Country checked in at No. 12 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll. The Warriors had another stellar outing last weekend in Spokane to continue their upward trajectory and move up three spots.
LC State placed fifth as the top non-NCAA Division I team at Whitworth's Frank Knott XC Classic.
Damaris Kibiwot,
Kelsey Plymale and
Aubree Williams led the Warriors for the third straight race, and all three made an impact on the LC State record book. Kibiwot ran the fastest time ever by a junior, while Plymale and Williams moved up to second and third all-time, respectively, behind Kibiwot at the 6k distance.
The Warriors will compete at home in back-to-back races ahead of the national meet. LC State will host the LC State Invite on Oct. 17 to conclude the regular season and will run at a 5k distance. The course will transition to a 6k as the Warriors host the 2026 Cascade Conference Cross Country Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, on Nov. 6.
Around the CCC, College of Idaho moved up one spot to No. 2 and LC State is the second-highest ranked team in the conference. Eastern Oregon checked in at No. 19 and Southern Oregon is No. 23.
