Women's Cross Country | 09.18.2026

RESULTS
NAMPA, Idaho – Kelsey Plymale and Aubree Williams joined the LC State record book with solid runs, and Damaris Kibiwot led the way for the No. 21 Warrior Women's Cross Country team at the NNU Invitational on Friday. LC State finished fourth as a team.

College of Southern Idaho, one of the top teams in the NJCAA, won the meet with NAIA No. 4 College of Idaho in second. Host NCAA Division II Northwest Nazarene was third followed by the Warriors. LC State edged No. 20 Eastern Oregon at the meet.

"A good day and a good step towards our goals at the end of the year," Dr. Michael Collins said. "The competition was very tough with College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene, along with Eastern Oregon and CSI. A slight upset for our women over Eastern Oregon's women when it comes to national rankings, so we feel good about that. We still have a lot of room to grow, and we definitely have to get faster if we want to do well at the national level. Our team has the capability of being very special. We really just need to work on getting our fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh runners a little closer to the front, if we can do that, it will be exciting to see what happens."

Kibiwot led the Warriors in fifth place in the field of more than 80 runners. The junior clocked a time of 22:27.5.

Plymale and Williams both placed in the top 20. Plymale ran the seventh-fastest 6k in LC State history (22:41.1) and fastest ever by a junior to finish 13th, while Williams ran a personal-best time of 22:55.2, which ranks 10th in the Warrior record book, to place 16th.

Eva Lundgren and Hannah Berdan also ran the best 6k times of their careers to round out the top five for LC State. Lundgren crossed the line in 34th (23:36.1) and Berdan was 44th (24:10.6).

Freshman Zion Boyd was just behind Berdan in 45th with a time of 24:14.0 in her first collegiate 6k. Lilly Gilbert placed 59th (25:04.5), Leila Flannery was 69th (26:06.4) and Morgan Myers finished 73rd (26:53.7).
