MOBILE, Ala. – LC State Men's Tennis, receiving votes in the national poll, finished its southern road trip in style with a 4-2 victory against Mobile (Ala.).
The Warriors had a strong result in singles play where they won three out of six matches to follow up their effort in doubles play.
Nell Rollin and
Rafael Bonnet de Larbogne earned the first doubles win after they went to a tiebreaker for a 7-6(4) victory.
Gautam Balakrishnan and
Louam Boivin sealed the doubles point for the Warriors with a 6-4 win over their opponents.
In No. 3 singles, Boivin carried his momentum from his doubles match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Freshman
Leonel Gatti won his No. 5 singles match after three sets. He started out the match strong with a 6-2 set win and closed it out with another 6-2 win, this time in the third set for a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 contest.
Balakrishnan handled his opponent in No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-2 to clinch the match for LC State.

LC State is back at the Tennis Center for a three-match homestand against NCAA Division I opponents Sacramento State, Idaho State and Montana.
