LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State plays host to the 2026 Cascade Conference Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, Apr. 27-29 at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club. Both Warrior teams will be in action to compete for postseason honors and a trip to the national tournament.
THE DETAILS
Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday in a shotgun start before scheduled tee times start at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. All teams will play one round each day for 54 holes over the three days.
The winners of the tournaments will earn the CCC's automatic qualifier to the national tournaments, while the regular season conference champion is determined by the best win/loss record across all conference tournaments, including the championship. In the event of a tie, co-conference champions will be declared.
All-conference honors will be awarded to the top 10 players with the lowest stroke averages. Individuals must have competed in at least 75 percent of CCC rounds to be eligible.
THE WARRIOR WOMEN
The No. 20 LC State women head into postseason as the No. 20 team in the NAIA and sit third in scoring average across the CCC tournaments this season (316.8).
The lineup for the Warrior women brings a great deal of experience into the tournament with four of five returning from last season.
Isabella Barquet earned All-CCC honors last season and joins senior
Dallis Shockey and sophomores
Jane Barry and
Giulia Belfontali as the veterans in the CCC tournament. Freshman
Taylor Mire will compete in the postseason for the first time in her career.
LC State has seen a lot of success in recent years on its home course. The Warriors won their home tournament each of the last two seasons and Belfontali won the individual title in both. The sophomore has two individual wins so far this season including The Warrior Fall Invitational.
The Warrior women defeated Oregon Tech by 22 strokes in the fall at LGCC to claim the team title and Belfontali defeated College of Idaho's Reece Garey in a playoff.
Heading into the final tournament, Shockey, Barquet and Barry are all within striking distance of All-CCC honors.
THE WARRIOR MEN
The LC State men sit second in scoring through conference play with a team average of 290.3, just behind No. 16 British Columbia.
The Warriors lineup ranges from two seniors in
Sondre Andresen and
Kye Krall to a pair of freshmen in
Adam Lovatt and
Andrea Artusini. Junior
Luke West leads the group coming off one of the best outings of his career.
West secured his first collegiate victory in the final tournament of the regular season to give him and the Warrior men momentum going into the postseason. LC State finished just two strokes behind UBC at the Tournament of Knights.
LC State finished second at The Warrior Fall Invitational at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club earlier this season with West and Andresen both in the top five.
Adam Lovatt carded the best round of any Warrior this season with an 8-under to finish one stroke back of West in Portland. The duo have been two of the top players for LC State this season and rank in the top 10 in conference play.
