BUTTE, Mont. – The final match of the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge was a refresher course in what not to do for the Lewis-Clark State Warriors as #25 College of Idaho swept them 25-16, 25-18, 25-17 Saturday afternoon.
"Offensively," coach
LaToya Harris-Alexander said, "we struggled. Our connection wasn't as solid as it had been the entire weekend."
The Warriors hit just .038 for the match, while the Coyotes were a solid .293. The Coyotes, 8-0 on the season, had 10 blocks to three for LCSC and 39 kills to 27 for the Warriors.
"On paper," Harris-Alexander said, "they were the better team."
Natalie Batiste led the Warriors with 10 kills with
Lauren West providing 13 assists.
Luana Thompson had nine digs.
The Warriors (3-6) are off until their home opener Sept. 8 against Walla Walla University at 5 p.m. at the LCSC Activity Center.
