WHITEFISH, Montana – After helping the Lewis-Clark State Volleyball team to two wins over the weekend, including a huge upset win over No. 16 Rocky Mountain, junior Morgan Ness has been named the Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week.
 
"Mo embodies what we are striving for with Warrior Volleyball," coach Shaun Pohlman said. "She is resilient in the face of adversity, puts the team first in all she does, works hard and keeps a positive, forward-thinking attitude. Mo has the respect of her peers and it's great to see that respect extend to the conference. Congrats to her and the team!"
 
With 19 kills against the Battlin' Bears on Thursday, Ness, a transfer from Walla Walla CC, helped the Warriors take down a top-20 team in four sets. The win tied the Warriors for first place in the conference with RMC. She finished with a .340 attack percentage in the match.
 
Ness helped LC State take sole possession of first place in the Frontier Conference with seven kills in Saturday's sweep of Montana Western. Over the course of the weekend, she hit at a clip of .291 and averaged 3.71 kills per set.
 
The Warriors wrap up the 2019 regular season on the road against Carroll and No. 18 Montana Tech. A win in Saturday's match against Tech would give the Warriors the regular-season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.
