LEWISTON, Idaho – The matchups are set for the quarterfinal round of the 2018-19 Frontier Conference Playoffs. Carroll College clinched a first-round bye after claiming a share of the regular-season conference championship and is the first seed. They tied with the Warriors for the best conference record, giving each team a share of the Title, but the Fighting Saints took two of three meetings during the season to earn the top seed. Seeding for the playoffs is as follows:

The Warriors (13-5, 24-6)
The No. 12 Lewis-Clark State men's basketball team ended the season on an eight-game winning streak and look to take that momentum into the Frontier Conference Playoffs. Included in that span was an upset win over top-10 ranked Carroll College (70-55).
The Warrior defense has proven itself to be one of the strongest in nation. They lead NAIA DI in scoring margin (23.21) and turnover margin (5.48), and are second in assist/turnover ratio (1.75). They are in the top-five in assists per game (19.14), total assists (555), scoring defense per game (65.17) and field goal percentage (.508).
Dana Abe leads the Warriors in scoring this season and is averaging 14.68 points per game.
Trystan Bradley has had a breakout couple of weeks and now leads the team in field goal percentage (.667). Bradley did not miss a shot in the Warriors last two games, shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the floor. He also leads LC with 24 blocked shots.
Cordel Hankerson leads the team in rebounds per game (4.59) and has tallied 47 steals.
Damek Mitchell is fourth in NAIA DI in both total assists (166) and assists per game (5.72). He leads the conference in both categories.
Derrick White is third in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (3.71)
The Opponent
Quarterfinals – Feb. 27 – Montana Western Bulldogs (3-15, 9-20)
The Warriors swept the Bulldogs in the season series, coming away with wins with final scores of 83-62, 81-62 and 74-58.
The Bulldogs are led by Kooper Kidgell who is averaging 16.9 points per game, fifth-best in the conference. Cedric Boone averages 14.8 points per game. Troy Scott leads UMW on the boards with 5.8 per game.
The Details
The two teams will go head-to-head on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Activity Center. Tickets are on sale now in the LC Athletics Ticket Office.
The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to play in Saturday's Frontier Conference Semifinal. The two highest remaining seeds will host the two lowest remaining seeds at 7 p.m. local time. The Championship Game will be hosted by the highest remaining seeded school on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 7 p.m. local time.
