LA GRANDE, Ore. – After tossing a complete-game one-hitter on Friday night, senior Tyler Burch has been named the Cascade Conference Red Lion Pitcher of the Week.
 
Burch, the reigning NAIA West Pitcher of the Year, had one of the best outings of his career this past weekend against the College of Idaho. In nine innings pitched, the right-hander walked just one batter and did not allow an earned run. He struck out eight.
 
"It started with the first throw that I had playing catch," Burch said. "It was just from the moment I got to the ballpark I knew that it was going to be a good day. I took it one pitch at a time and really focused in times that I needed to, and that helped me a lot."
