SALEM, Ore. – Lewis-Clark State College's women's 'A' golf team is tied for third and its 'B' team is sixth after the opening round of the Corban Spring Invitational, while the Warrior men were ninth when play was suspended because of darkness before the second round ended.
Madilyn Brown is tied for fourth after opening the tournament with a career-low two-over 74 at Creekside Golf Club, a par-72, 5,801-yard layout.
Marissa Louder added a 77 (tie 11
th),
Lauren Hamm a 78 (tie 14
th) and
Courtney Ockler an 82 (tie 24
th) to account for the 'A' scoring.
Alexandra Schmidt finished the day at 94 and tied for 43
rd.
Playing as the LCSC 'B' team,
Kelci Parker's career-low 76 puts her tied for ninth and is low for the group.
Megan Gibson added an 83 (26
th),
Natalie Gonzales an 84 (tie 27
th) and
Brooke Orr an 88 (32
nd).
Carlos Davila led the Warrior men with a two-under 70 – good for a tie for 10
th.
Justin Cox had a 73 over his first 18 and is tied for 24
th with three Warriors –
Caleb Kessler,
Devon Caruso and
Zach Rawls, all carding 77s and tied for 43
rd.
Eric Dahl, playing as an individual, is tied for 53
rd with a 78.
