LEWISTON, Idaho – Coach Shaun Pohlman announced the signing of Western Wyoming Community College transfer Jada Wyms.

"Warrior Volleyball just got better," Pohlman said. "Jada was a huge part in Western Wyoming's return to the national spotlight. She helped a new coach taking over the program go from a losing record to the top spot in their region with recognition in the national rankings in just two seasons.

"She adjusted to our system very well when she played with the team and she is so dynamic which will allow some flexibility in our offense," he explained. "She has a huge 32" vertical, which is the largest vertical we have had in my time at LC. People will love watching her play, and it's going to be fun to coach her!"

Wyms was an all-conference competitor for the Region IX North Champion Mustangs.

"I have known Coach Pohlman for a few years, dating back to when he coached at Northwest College in Powell, Wyo.," Western Wyoming CC coach Fredann Soto explained. "He had an amazing program at Northwest and when he approached me about Jada, I know it would be a great fit. I knew she would respond to his coaching style, and that she would be a great asset to Warrior Volleyball. Jada will be missed at Western Wyoming, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have coached her for two years."

The West Haven, Utah native prepped at Layton Christian Academy and was voted all-region. A member of the National Honors Society, Wyms also played basketball and competed in track and field.

"I chose LCSC because it felt like a community where I could grow as a student, athlete and person," Wyms said. "LC is full of caring people that only want the best for you, and that is what drew me to be a Warrior."
