USTFCCCA WOMEN'S RATING INDEX
NEW ORLEANS – The women of LC State Track and Field are rated No. 13 in the NAIA according to the first USTFCCCA NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Rating Index of the season. The Warriors have put together some of the top performances in the NAIA so far this season with multiple school records broken and national-qualifying marks hit.
Kea Stieglitz hit an automatic-qualifying standard in the javelin at the Whitworth Invitational and Multis last weekend. She won the event, beating out NCAA DI competition with a mark of 41.41m (135'10").
Madi Carson currently holds the third-highest mark in the NAIA this season in the pole vault. The indoor All-American hit a height of 3.63m (11'10.75") at Whitworth.
Delaney Warren is fourth in the discus after winning at the meet last weekend. Her mark of 43.27m (141'11") earned her Cascade Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Both Carson and Warren, as well as
Ashley Britt, have all hit B qualifying standards. Britt hit her mark with a time of 1:03.97 in the 400m hurdles to win in Spokane. She currently ranks fifth in the NAIA in the event.
LC State continues its outdoor season in Spokane this weekend at the H.I.R. Invitational on Friday.
