LA GRANDE, Ore. – Madigan Kelly took back her spot at the top of the podium with her third Cascade Conference 100m hurdles crown to highlight the first day of the 2026 Cascade Conference Track and Field Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, on Friday.
Damaris Kibiwot also earned All-CCC honors with a strong finish in the 10,000m.
Â
"We had a pretty good day considering conditions were extremely challenging due to the winds," coach
Mike Collins said. "A conference championship from Madigan, and hopefully coming back tomorrow to get some more points. The women in the 10,000m scored some points that weren't expected. Our throwers had a pretty good day across the board for both genders. Track is definitely a numbers game and going into tomorrow we'll be working hard to try to both earn individual recognitions, but also to have a shot at finishing in a top half of the conference in both genders on the team side."
