Women's Track and Field | 07.22.2021
NEW ORLEANS – 10 Warrior women and five men were recognized by the USTFCCCA for their efforts on the track and in the classroom this school year, announced on Thursday. The 15 student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete titles, and both LC State Track and Field teams were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.
Seniors
Emily Adams,
Madi Carson and
Delaney Warren led the group of 10 LC State women that were tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic. Also named were juniors
Rylee Brown,
Rebekka Kalmbach,
Maja Plaznik and
Karlie Smith. Sophomores
Ashley Britt and
Brooklyn Shell, and freshman
Kea Stieglitz also garnered recognition.
On the men's side, seniors
Cole Olsen and
Clayton VanDyke added the award to their list of successes this past year. Juniors
Andrew Carlyle and
Connor Turpin, as well as freshman
Leon Menten, also earned recognition.
To be named a USTFCCCA NAIA All-Academic Athlete, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark for either the indoor or outdoor season. To be named a USTFCCCA NAIA All-Academic Team, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the squad list for indoor and/or outdoor must be 3.0 or higher.
