LEWISTON, Idaho – Head Coach Brady Campbell announced the first signees under his leadership of LC State Golf. Jorgen Lie Viken will join the Warriors as a transfer from NCAA DI Coastal Carolina, and Kristof Panke will begin his collegiate career at LC State in the fall.
 
Viken spent last season at DI Coastal Carolina after a dominant freshman season at NCAA DII Concordia Portland. He set Concordia's scoring average record with an average of 71.1, and was a member of the team that broke multiple school record. He was ranked in the top 50 DII golfers in the nation and was voted the GNAC Freshman of the Year, First-Team All-GNAC and GCAA All-West Region.
 
"We are really excited to bring in a high-level player with college playing experience," Campbell said. "Jorgen has proven himself at the collegiate level with numerous awards and records already. He's a player that will come in right away and help us win."
 
Panke prepped at Davenport High School and was the team's top-ranked golfer all four years. He helped the team to two district titles and was all-league both seasons. Due to the pandemic, the team was unable to compete the last two seasons. Panke also competed in ski racing, was ASB President and graduated as the class Valedictorian.
 
"We are looking forward to getting Kristof on campus," Campbell added. "He's a young player who can come in and compete right away. His experience at the national level as a junior golfer will help immensely in his transition into collegiate golf. Having a player who has played in events like the US Junior Am will be big for our program."
