LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Men's Tennis earned three doubles wins and six singles victories on Wednesday in a non-counting match against the Community Colleges of Spokane. The match, which finished 7-0 in favor of the Warriors, does not count toward the overall record, but betters the records of the individuals that competed.
Every LC doubles pairing took their matches 6-0.
Cade Edwards and
Austin Swing earned the win in No. 1 doubles, Thomas Schapp teamed up with
Beknazar Tursyngazy in the second spot, and
Austin Gomez and
Andy Wu picked up a victory in the third slot.
Edwards (No. 2 singles), Gomez (No. 5 singles) and Wu (No. 6 singles) all went 6-0, 6-0 in their individual matches. In third singles, Beknazar dropped only one game, as did Schaap in the fourth spot. Swing won the top pairing 6-3, 6-2.
The Warriors are in Spokane on Saturday for a pair of matches at NCAA Division III Whitworth starting at 10 a.m.
