CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lewis-Clark State Volleyball's
Kenzie Dean was voted the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Volleyball Defender of the Week after a record-setting weekend that propelled the Warriors to a pair of road victories.
Dean, a senior libero from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, set a Warrior record with 38 digs in a four-set match. The total is the third-most in any match by an LC State volleyball player. She averaged 5.22 digs per set over the weekend and dealt seven assists. With 224 digs so far this season, Dean has amassed 1,072 in her career which ranks ninth all-time in the LC record book.
This is the second weekly honor for Dean in her career, and the first for LC State Volleyball this season.
The Warriors' next matches will be at home in the P1FCU Activity Center on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 when they host the Bushnell Beacons and the Corban Warriors. The Beacons received votes in the latest national poll and the Corban warriors are currently ranked sixth in the nation.
