LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Volleyball and head coach Katie Palmer announced the addition of four incoming student-athletes set to join the Warriors for the upcoming season. Freshmen Hadyn Smith, Sammi Humphrey and Addison Wilson, along with transfer Aubree Lane, will bolster the LC State roster this fall and bring a dynamic blend of size, experience and versatility to the program.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Hadyn, Addison, Sammi and Aubree to our Warrior Volleyball family," Palmer said. "This group brings a powerful combination of championship experience, high-level training and competitive fire that aligns with our five core values. Just as importantly, they represent the type of student-athletes we value; driven in the classroom, committed to growth and ready to make an impact on our campus and in our community. We can't wait to get them in the gym and see how they help push our program forward."
Hadyn Smith – Highland, Utah
Smith, a right-side hitter out of Highland, Utah, brings a high-level competitive background to the program. As a varsity captain at Skyridge High School, she earned 6A Second-Team All-State and first-team all-region honors and led her team to a runner-up finish at the state tournament. Smith totaled more than 500 career varsity kills and has established herself as a dynamic presence at the net, highlighted by her 10-foot-2 approach touch and high volleyball IQ.
Smith also competed at an elite level in club volleyball for Club V, who is amongst the top 10 clubs in the country each year. In her final club season, she helped her team to a championship at the Sierra National Qualifier in the Open Division, a runner-up finish at Red Rock, and a fifth-place finish at the prestigious Triple Crown National Invitational Tournament. In the classroom, she carries a 3.9 GPA and is on track to complete a pharmacy technician program through her local community college, which exemplifies the balance of academic excellence and athletic achievement.
Addison Wilson – Olympia, Wash.
Wilson joins LC State after a stellar career at Olympia High School where she established herself as a dominant presence at the net. She was named First-Team All-4A South Puget Sound League and team MVP after she led the Bears in kills per set, total kills, hitting percentage and total blocks to showcase her ability to impact every phase of the match from the middle. Wilson's strong leadership and desire to win helped lead the team to the WIAA State Tournament all three years including a third-place finish in 2023.
Along with her high school success, Wilson competed in club volleyball with Oly Reign, Emerald Rain and Puyallup Juniors. She helped her teams qualify for nationals every year of club and was named a Prep Dig Volleyball Top Performer in Washington.
Sammi Humphrey – Maple Valley, Wash.
A standout setter from Maple Valley, Wash., Humphrey arrives with one of the most decorated high school careers in the region. She capped her senior season by leading her team to a state championship while earning all-state and all-league honors, and was named her team's Most Inspirational player. On the national stage, she helped her club team to a third-place finish at AAU Nationals and earned AAU All-American recognition to highlight her ability to compete and excel against the country's top talent.
Humphrey's résumé is defined by sustained excellence, leadership and winning. She finished her career as her high school's all-time assists leader with 2,240 and earned all-state honors in all four seasons. Her teams captured three district and three league championships, along with a state title and a runner-up finish, and she contributed to top national finishes including second at USAV nationals and third at AAU nationals.
Aubree Lane – Sandpoint, Idaho
Lane brings collegiate experience as an outside hitter out of Spokane Falls CC after a standout career at Sandpoint High School. At SFCC, she totaled 490 kills with 3.00 per set to go with 451 digs, 28 aces and 48 blocks. Lane helped the Sasquatch to the NWAC quarterfinal in 2025 and was named all-region twice. She was voted the team MVP in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
At Sandpoint, Lane was voted first-team all-region twice and was the team MVP her final two seasons. She excelled in the classroom as well with individual scholastic awards and helped the program to team scholastic awards all four years.
