LEWISTON, Idaho – Golf coach
Zach Anderson announced his first signing as the leader of Warrior Golf in transfer Alex Navarro. The Valencia, Spain, native will join LC State out of Copiah-Lincoln CC.
"I could not be more excited to bring a top-ranked junior college player to our program," Anderson said. "Alex has had success in the international and collegiate ranks. Coming from a solid junior college in the state of Mississippi, he will bring a lot of experience to our team. I am excited to see what Alex can do during his time at LC State."
Navarro played two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln CC in Wesson, Miss., and helped the team place fourth at State. He averaged 74.2 strokes as a freshman and was named an NJCAA Second-Team All-American. He was also voted Second-Team All-MACCC and named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team after placing in the top 11.
"I am going to work as hard as possible to help the team go to the next level and reach the goals that we have," Navarro said. "I would like to thank Coach Anderson for giving me this opportunity, and I am going to work hard to play my best."
