RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Warriors closed the first meet of the season with a program and facility record. The group of Jordan Castillo, Sydnie Zywina, Trenton Johnson and Emily Collins made history with the inaugural mixed 4x400m relay record on a time of 3:40.90. The performance closed a busy day at the Spokane Invitational where young LC State Track and Field athletes gained valuable experience.

Along with his action in the relay, Johnson earned a second-place finish in the triple jump with his mark of 14.33m. Preston Cooper ran the first indoor 400m of his career and etched his name as the third-fastest in the event all-time at LC State. The sophomore ran a time of 50.39 to place 10th.

Distance runners Tristin O'Brien, Alexander Fry and Luke Sellmann were in action in the 3,000m. Brandon Decker placed 12th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.93m. Bogdanowicz went on to run a career-best time in the 200m (23.47) to place 29th.

Freshman Cameron Carrera waited until his final leap to record a mark, but he made statement with it in the long jump. He cleared 5.89m to place 12th in his collegiate debut. Fellow first-year Max Funk was 24th at 5.49m. Carrera was also 10th in the high jump (1.75m) with Ian Gardom in 14th (1.70m).

Decker was also in action in the 60m dash. He placed 72nd (7.75) behind Tanner Sibert who tied his personal best with a time of 7.49 to finish 63rd. Funk was 74th (8.01). Sibert placed 40th (24.35) in the 200m. In his first taste of collegiate action, Jr Mendoza finished 17th in the shot put (12.29m) and 29th in the weight throw (9.93m).
