RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – Two-time All-American
Sydnie Zywina punched her ticket back to nationals and was a member of a history-making relay during a busy day for LC State at the Spokane Invitational on Saturday. Along with her national mark in the triple jump, the senior joined Jordan Castillo, Trenton Johnson and
Emily Collins in the first mixed 4x400m relay in the history of The Podium to set the facility record.
Zywina leapt 11.63m in the triple jump for a B standard to qualify for indoor nationals and currently holds the fifth-best mark in the NAIA. She finished fifth in the event at the meet. The Orofino native anchored the mixed 4x400m relay team to clock a time of 3:40.90 to win the final event of the night and set the inaugural facility record with their win.
Camille Ussher finished fourth overall in the mile run with a time of 5:22.46, while
Emily Collins earned a sixth-place finish in the 600m (1:38.24).
Freshman Jacklyn Linnemeyer led the Warrior women's throwing group in the weight throw. She threw better in nearly every attempt and finished seventh overall with a mark of 14.13m.
Grace Osborne was eighth (13.70m) and
Faith Wersland placed ninth (12.53m) after all three advanced to the event final.
Hope Zollman finished 13
th (10.87m) and
Haylee Appleford hit a PR with a throw of 10.08m to place 15
th.
Appleford led the group in the shot put with an 11
th-place finish on a distance of 11.06m. Zollman was 20
th (9.93m), Linnemeyer placed 21
st (9.72m) and Osborne was 24
th (9.37m).

The Warriors break for the holidays and will return to action Jan. 24-25 at Idaho's Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
