LEWISTON, Idaho. – LC State Men's Golf announced the first signing for the 2026-27 season in England's Archie Jones. The incoming freshman will join the Warriors in the fall.
"We are excited to announce Archie Jones as our first signing of the 2026 men's golf recruiting class," head coach
Zach Anderson said. "Since our first conversation, you could sense the excitement and passion Archie has to become a Warrior. He is joining a team that is hungry to show the nation that they can contend. Archie adds to the UK connection that we are starting to build in our program. His game has shown continuous growth over the past few years, and he has the understanding that development is a key component on our team. We can't wait to welcome him to the family in fall of 2026."
Jones attends Darrick Wood Secondary School and competes for Rochester and Cobham Golf. Among his list of accolades, Jones earned individual wins at the Lingfield Order of Merit, Golf College Order and Kaowell Cup. He was the junior club champion in 2024 and won the Rackham Plate in 2025.
"I want to help take the team to the next level, and being a part of a team is something I am looking forward to," Jones said. "I can't wait to meet all my new teammates and get to work on my golf game with the incredible facilities LC State has. I am feeling very optimistic for my next adventure in America."
