EOU RESULTS | WHITWORTH RESULTS
LA GRANDE, Ore. – Warrior Track and Field wrapped up a busy weekend across the region with competitors at both the EOU Last Chance Indoor and the Whitworth Indoor Invite. The LC State men ended the weekend with two national standards in relays and two individual national marks.
London Kirk and
Griffen Parsells were each part of a relay and ran B standard times I the 600m. Kirk placed second with a raw time of 1:21.68 and Parsells with third at 1:21.75. Once converted to account for the size of the small track, both will have qualifying times.
Parsells was part of the men's distance medley relay that qualified on Friday, and Kirk was a member of the men's 4x400m relay squad that hit the mark on Saturday. The team of
Jordan Castillo,
Preston Cooper, Kirk and
Trenton Johnson ran an unconverted time of 3:23.46 to win the event. Once converted, it will be a B standard for nationals.
Senior
Ike Hopper wrapped up his season as a heptathlete with a personal-best score of 4,258 points to place third in La Grande. He was third in the 60m hurdles (8.95), fifth in the 1,000m (2:59.97) and sixth in the pole vault (3.25m).
Kobe Wessels ran a personal-best time of 8:36.86 in the 3,000m to place second overall at EOU. He was just shy a national mark.
Jedidiah Barnaby won the 60m dash finals at EOU with a time of 6.99 to match his prelims mark, while Castillo was fifth at 7.15.
Manuel Valdez was in action in two events at Whitworth with a personal-best in each. The freshman ran his best 800m (2:10.17) to finish 18
th and best 3,000m (9:34.88) to place 22
nd.
Ben Vernon ran in the 3,000m and was 24
th (9:42.97).
Jacob Adams had a six-second PR of 4:45.50 to finish 22
nd in the mile.
Tristin O'Brien ran the mile at EOU and clocked a PR of 4:29.02 to place third.
Both Warrior throwers at the EOU meet hit PRs.
Jr Mendoza finished fifth in the shot put (12.36m) and
Perry Severijnse was eighth (11.48m).
James Bogdanowicz competed in the pole vault in Spokane and placed 14
th at 4.30m.
Max Funk was in the long jump in La Grande and placed ninth (5.49m).

The 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships are scheduled for Feb. 27-Mar. 1 in Gainesville, Fla.
