LC State Women’s Tennis Falls to OUAZ in GSAC Title Match

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The 2025 LC State Women's Tennis season came to a close on Thursday with a 4-1 loss to Ottawa (Ariz.) in the GSAC Tournament title match.  
 
The Warrior women started strong in doubles play with a win for an early 1-0 lead. Heidi Moyo and April Buckingham teamed up for a 6-3 victory in the top spot, and Paige Noble-Lucas and Beatriz Lambru took the No. 2 match 6-3.
 
OUAZ took four singles matches to clinch the match and win the GSAC title.
 
Moyo battled in the top singles contest with a 7-6, 6-3 loss, while Naiara Montero fell 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 6 spot.
 
Lambru was ahead in her No. 2 match after a 7-6 win in the first set before the contest was clinched. Rayana Shah was up 7-6, 5-2 in No. 3 singles.
 
LC State finished the season as the GSAC Tournament Runner Up in its first year back in the conference.
