NAIA TOP 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LC State Volleyball will open the 2026 season as the No. 23 team in the NAIA Top 25, announced in the preseason poll on Wednesday. The ranking marks the first season since 2015 in which the program earned a spot in the top 25 to start the year.
The Warriors were picked to finish fifth in a stacked Cascade Conference. Six total Cascade teams earned spots in the top 25, led by No. 2 Eastern Oregon. Corban (Ore.) checked in at No. 5, while College of Idaho and Bushnell (Ore.) are Nos. 18 and 19, respectively. Southern Oregon is just ahead of LC State at No. 22. The CCC sent the most teams to the national tournament last season with seven schools in the field.
LC State earned a spot in the NAIA national tournament last season for the first time since 2011. The Warriors battled to a four-set victory at Taylor (Ind.) in the Opening Round to punch their ticket to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa. Three of the program's four All-Cascade Conference honorees return for the 2026 season.
The campaign officially opens on Aug. 20 when LC State heads to Montana for the Big Sky Challenge. The Warriors compete in four matches before returning to Lewiston to host the Hells Canyon Grand Invitational Aug. 28-29.
A full season preview will be available ahead of the first contest of the season.
