LEWISTON, Idaho - Although the Warriors are focusing on the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships coming up this week, senior Jonny Handel got his outdoor season started early with an automatic qualifying time for the Outdoor Championships in the marathon.
 
Handel took part in the Dumm and Dummer Half Marathon in Lewiston on Saturday and won the event with a time of 1:09:52. He finished first in the field of 23 runners.
 
The Warriors will head to Brookings, S.D. this week to compete at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
