LA GRANDE, Ore. – LC State Track and Field opens competition at the 2026 Cascade Conference Track and Field Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, on Friday. The two-day event will be held at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.
Cascade Conference honors are on the line as student-athletes compete in the final meet ahead of the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Some are still in the hunt for a national-qualifying mark, and this is the last chance to do so.
All information can be found on the
championship page, including the event
schedule and live
results. The top three finishers in each event will earn All-Cascade Conference accolades.
Action begins Friday with the women's and men's hammer throw at 1 p.m. The first race to hit the track will be the men's and women's 5,000m racewalk, where
Dawson Welliver will become the first Warrior ever to compete in the event, followed by the 4x800m relay at 1:45 p.m. Both are opportunities to qualify for outdoor nationals but do not count toward CCC team scores. The first CCC championship track event will be the women's steeplechase at 2:05 p.m. The day will end with the men's 10,000m at approximately 5 p.m.
The two-day event concludes on Saturday, with multiple field events beginning at 10:30 a.m. The last event of the meet will be the men's 4x400m relay, set to begin at 3:55 p.m. Final awards will be handed out at 4:15 p.m.
