RESULTS
LA GRANDE, Ore. – Perry Severijnse and
Kobe Wessels each earned Cascade Conference titles as part of a successful final day at the 2026 Cascade Conference Track and Field Championships, presented by U.S. Bank. The Warrior men earned five All-Cascade Conference honors on Saturday with a pair of school records and three national standards en route to a fourth-place finish as a team.
"Generally speaking, it was a pretty good second day," coach
Mike Collins said. "From a team standpoint our goal was to finish in the top half. The men came really close to finishing in the top three. More records and more national qualifiers, so we really can't complain at all. I'm very proud of this group of young people and the hard work that they've put in throughout the year. People underestimate the team aspect of track and field. It is an amazing bonding experience to have your team cheering for you in your individual event, knowing that it is part of the team performance. Everyone matters and everyone is recognized for their contribution."
Severijnse impressed the field with his massive throw in the javelin. The 63.06m mark not only earned him the title of Cascade Conference Champion but is an automatic qualifying standard for nationals that ranks in the top 10 in the NAIA. His throw ranks second all-time at LC State. Freshman
Cole Arlint placed seventh with a PR of 58.28m which ranks third in Warrior history.
Kobe Wessels came away from the meet as the CCC 800m champion with a win at his final conference meet. The senior clocked a time of 1:52.94 to earn his second All-Cascade Conference honor of the weekend.

Freshmen
