BOISE, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State track and field team took part in its final meet of the regular season on Saturday at the Boise State Challenge. The women's 4x400m relay team became the final piece of LC's puzzle to qualify for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

WOMEN
The highlight of the day came in the final event for the LC ladies when the quartet of Rebekka Kalmbach, Sapp, Abby Snyder and Brooke McClurkin ran the second-fastest 4x400m relay in the NAIA this season at 3:56.03. The time earned an A qualifying standard to send the group to the National Championships, and also set a school record.
Sapp was also active in the 60m hurdles, breaking her previous school record with a time of 9.40.
Madi Carson had a full day, participating in four different events. She set a program record in the 60m dash with a time of 8.07 and ran a personal-best  27.34 in the 200m. In the field, Carson jumped to a mark of 4.74m/15'6/75" in the long jump and hit 3.21m/10'6.25" to place in the top-10 in the pole vault.
Michaela Madden put together a strong performance and set a personal record in the long jump, leaping to a mark of 4.91m/16'1.50" for 14th-place. She also ran an 8.63 60m dash.
The distance medley relay (Dallas Borrego, McClurkin, Rylee Brown, Rebecca Saxton) clocked a time of 12:30.06 which could potentially earn them a spot at the National Meet depending on other scores still being reported.
McKinley Litton placed in the top-20 in the 400m, finishing the event in a personal-best 1:00.0, and Dallas Borrego was in the top-20 in the 800m (2:23.18).
Delaney Warren placed in the top-15 in the weight throw, tossing her implement a distance of 12.41m/40'8.75".

MEN
Sam Weeks set the school record in the 60m dash, breaking his own record with a time of 7.16 in the prelims. The senior placed eighth in the finals at 7.20 and went on to take 13th in the 200m (22.97).
Alixander Morse had a strong showing in the 60m hurdles, finishing sixth with a personal-best time of 8.48. Morse also saw action in the 4x400m relay along with Tristan Hites, Cameron Preston and Bryan Carter. The group placed eighth with a time of 3:28.37.
In the distance medley relay, Cooper Haney, Hites, Sakti Woodbury and Cole Olsen finished sixth in the field with a time of 10:27.09. Woodbury also finished in the top-20 in the 800m (2:01.31).
Gerald Chase Ellison raced alongside Weeks in the 200m, placing 16th (23.23), and took 21st in the 400m (52.98). Both were personal-records.
Dillon Dawson finished in the top-20 in the mile run with a personal-best time of 4:28.00.
The Warriors now take time to prepare for the 2019 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Brookings, S.D. beginning Feb. 28.
A full list of LC qualifiers will be announced at the close of the NAIA regular season.
