RESULTS

PULLMAN, Wash. – Despite battling rough winds at the Cougar Invitational, the Warriors turned in solid performances. Jazzmin Bryan continued to excel in the 400m with a win in the event and a national B qualifying time of 56.98, a new LC record. Dillon Dawson also picked up a win for LC track and field with a first-place finish in the 1500m.

"Today was a rough day. The weather really didn't do us any favors," coach Cyrus Hall said. "From a technique and execution standpoint, to the naked eye we looked really good, so that's encouraging."

The Women
Bryan highlighted the day for the Warriors with her big win in the 400m. Her time of 56.98 set a new school record and hit the B national standard. She also picked up a third-place finish in the 200m with a time of 26.43.

"Jazzmin was the highlight of the day," Hall said. "I have no idea how she ran as fast as she did in this wind."

Jenny Sapp had a strong day on the track and in the field. The senior hit a personal-best in the 100m hurdles (15.11) and in the long jump (5.11m/16'9.25") to place in the top five in both events. She took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.17.

In the field, Delaney Warren and Natalie Robinson both had strong days in throwing events. Warren's best finish on the day came in the discus where she placed third (39.89m/130'10"). She also finished in the top-five of the hammer throw (42.02m/137'10"). Robinson came in third in the javelin (32.76m/107'6").
