RESULTS

SPOKANE, Wash.
– Warrior Track and Field competed in its first outdoor meet of the season on Friday in the Whitworth Essential, hosted by Whitworth University. The Warriors were eager to get back on the track and resume competition after a shortened indoor season due to the pandemic. This was evident as multiple athletes hit national-qualifying standards and set personal bests to get the season off to a strong start.

As the only NAIA school in attendance, the Warriors found their way to the top spots in multiple events. Freshman Leon Menten won the javelin and set a school record, previously set by current coach and former Warrior Jacob Whittaker. Another freshman shined today with Anika Grogan breaking the outdoor 100m dash record. Delaney Warren had a dominant day, earning a win in the discus. Ashley Britt picked up a victory of her own as well in the 400m hurdles. The women's 4x400m relay team also won the event.
