CORVALLIS, Ore. – The LC State Men's Basketball team will compete for a spot in the 2021 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship title game on Monday after wins in the Round of 16 and the National Quarterfinal. The Warriors cruised past 14
th-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan before defeating 11
th-seeded Loyola (La.) in overtime and were named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week on Sunday night.
In the first game in Kansas City, Mo., LC State earned an 86-72 victory over OKWU behind
Trystan Bradley's double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Warriors drained 13 3-pointers and had five players in double-digits.
LC State had to work even harder for the win over the Wolf Pack. Tied 66-66 after regulation, the Warriors used five points from Bradley in overtime to come away with the 75-70 victory.
Khalil Stevenson and
Jake Albright both added two points in the five-minute span to seal the deal.
The Warriors will face ninth-seeded SAGU (Texas) on Monday at 6 p.m. PT in the National Semifinal. The game can be streamed on the NAIA Network and will be shown at Zany's. KOZE will carry the game and links to live coverage are available on lcwarriors.com.
