NEW ORLEANS – Lewis-Clark State Track and Field will head into the postseason with both the men's and women's teams rated in the nation's top 25, according to the USTFCCCA Outdoor Track and Field Rating Index released on Wednesday.
 
The LC State men sit at No. 18 after Clayton VanDyke bettered his automatic-qualifying mark in the 1500m to a time of 3:53.48. His time is currently the sixth-fastest in the NAIA and earned 21.36 points in the rating. He was also a member of the 4x800m relay team that earned 0.8 points for the team.
 
On the women's side, the Warriors are rated No. 19. Rebekka Kalmbach hurdled her way to a B standard in the 400m event with a time of 1:04.48 to earn 3.53 points. Callie Johnson added 0.7 points with her performance in the 3,000m steeplechase.
 
LC State Track and Field will compete at its first Cascade Conference Championships May 14-15 in La Grande, Ore.
