TRACK & FIELD

The Warriors completed a successful trip to Spokane last weekend at the Cougar Classic with multiple national qualifiers and school records. Clayton VanDyke and Madigan Kelly were voted the Cascade Conference Track Athletes of the Week, and VanDyke was also named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Idaho’s Lauren McCluskey Open is the only regular-season indoor meet the Warriors will compete in that is not in Spokane.

Last weekend, VanDyke secured his spot at nationals in the mile with his LC State record time of 4:07.79. The men’s distance earned a provisional mark with a time of 10:16.91. Kelly improved on her time in the 60m hurdles, breaking her own school record twice in the process, and earned a provisional-qualifying time of 9.03.
