LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Volleyball has signed outside hitter Juliauna Forgach Aguilar from Morenci, Ariz., announced by Head Coach Shaun Pohlman.

While competing for Morenci High School she was named Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-league three times as well as second-team all-league once. As a junior she grabbed honorable mention All-State honors and collected Second-Team All-State honors her senior year.

"It has been an incredible experience recruiting Jules," Pohlman said. "From the first swing I saw her take, to the conversation with her and her family, to coaching and working with her in a practice, every interaction has been positive."

Aguilar plans to major in Exercise Science at LC State and wants to be an athletic trainer once her playing days are over.

"LC State has an environment like no other. Everyone loves everyone and it's just one big family," Aguilar said. "When I think about my future, I think about making so many new friends, finishing school and having a successful career to build a family."

Aguilar was named to the Honor Roll all four years of high school. She also competed in basketball and softball where she received first-team all-league honors multiple times in both sports.

"We want each freshman recruit to raise up a level and I feel she does that for us," Pohlman said. "She is strong, jumps well, has a pure swing, and can see the court.  Jules is as good off the court as she is on and we are excited to have her join the Warrior Volleyball family!"

The Morenci native plays club volleyball as part of an all-star team put together by National Scouting Report (NSR) where she plays with girls from all over the country.

"Juliauna puts her whole heart into the game and her team surrounds her because of her leadership and energy," NSR coach Jackie Arnold said. "She is one of the most coachable student-athletes I've gotten to help in the recruiting process and one of the most talented, but always wanting feedback for growth I've coached."
