CORVALLIS, Ore. – Juliauna Forgach Aguilar impressed in the 2023 season-opening weekend for LC State Volleyball, and the Cascade Collegiate Conference took notice. The sophomore was voted the CCC Rize Laboratory Attacker of the Week, making her the first LC State Warrior to win the award since the 2021 season.
 
Forgach Aguilar was dominant in the first weekend of the young season. The sophomore took on an elevated role this year and did not hesitate to lead the Warrior offense. She matched a career-high with 12 kills against Walla Walla on Friday before nearly doubling the total the next night with 23 kills against a talented Montana Western team. She was efficient with just eight errors on 35 kills in 77 attempts for a .351 attack percentage. The sophomore also added six service aces and 10 digs.
 
This is the first weekly honor of Forgach Aguilar's career.
 
The Warriors are back in action this weekend at the OUAZ Invitational in Surprise, Ariz. LC State will face (RV) Ottawa (Ariz.), Montana Western, Arizona Christian and MSU-Northern.
