CCC TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS PAGE
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The postseason begins for LC State Track and Field on Friday at the 2024 Cascade Conference Track and Field Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, on the campus of Oregon Tech. The Warriors will compete in the two-day meet with All-CCC honors on the line and for a final chance to hit national marks.
Live scoring will be available throughout the meet with links on lcwarriors.com. The top-three finishers in each event will earn All-Cascade Conference honors.
THE WOMEN
The Warrior women will kick off track events with the 4x100m relay, an event in which LC is seeded at the top.
Emily Collins,
Anika Grogan,
Madigan Kelly and
Karissa Lindner enter the weekend at the top-ranked CCC team in the event. The Warriors are also the top-ranked team in the 4x400m relay with the group of Collins, Grogan, Kelly and
Sydnie Zywina.
Kelly is the top-ranked 100m hurdler in the CCC with
Jennah Carpenter seeded seventh and
Sara Hathaway 12
th. Kelly also enters as the CCC leader in the 400m hurdles with Hathaway seeded fourth. Collins is second in the 400m and Grogan is 10
th. Lindner is ranked No. 11 in the long jump. Lindner is fifth in the 100m dash with Grogan as the No. 10 seed.
Lewiston native Carpenter will also be in action at the No. 2 seed in the long jump and third in the high jump. Orofino's Zywina is seeded second in the triple jump.
Kea Stieglitz is the third-seeded competitor in the javelin with
Gianna Anderson ranked 16
th. Pole vaulter
Emberlynn Mack enters the meet at the No. 7 ranked competitor in the CCC.
Throwers
Grace Osborne and
Haylee Appleford qualified in multiple events. Osborne is seeded 11
th in the hammer,10
th in the discus and 12
th in the shot put, and Appleford is 17
th in the hammer, third in the discus and sixth in the shot put.
In distance events,
Grace Tiegs is the No. 10 seed in the 800m and 12
th in the 1,500m and
Aubree Williams is 11
th in the 800m and 14
th in the 1,500m.
Abigail Gorton is ranked third in the 10,000m.
THE MEN
The LC State men's 4x100m relay team of
Jedidiah Barnaby,
Jordan Castillo,
London Kirk and
Preston Cooper is seeded second, and the 4x400m squad of
Carter Gordon,
Ike Hopper, Kirk and
Trenton Johnson also ranks second.
Kirk is the No. 2 seed in the 400m with Gordon ranked ninth. Barnaby ranks fifth in the 100m dash with Castillo seeded 10
th and Cooper 13
th. Barnaby is the No. 8 seed in the 200m, Cooper is No. 10 and Castillo is 13
th.
Hopper is the No. 2 seed in the 110m hurdles and No. 4 in the 400m hurdles, and
Ian Gardom enters the weekend seeded fifth in the 110m event.
In distance events, Gordon ranks at the top of the CCC in the 800m and
Griffen Parsells is second.
Kobe Wessels is in the No. 6 seed,
Conner May ranks eighth,
Cooper Carlson is 12
th and
Tristin O'Brien is 20
th. Parsells is the fourth seeded runner in the 1,500m and Wessels is seventh.
Senior
Brycen Brown is the No. 3 seed in the 3,000m steeplechase fresh off his national-qualifying run at the UO Twilight. Freshman
Keith Uitdewilligen is seeded ninth.
Alexander Fry is ranked ninth in the 10,000m,
Connor Alexander is 12
th,
Brycen Kempton is 14
th and
Clay Shumaker is 15
th.
Luke Sellmann will run in the 5,000m event ranked No. 16.
James Bogdanowicz is the fifth-seeded pole vaulter at the conference meet. Johnson is seventh in the long jump and third in the triple jump.
Sam Weller is the No. 11 seed in the hammer and
Tanner Beltz-Childs is ranked 16
th. Weller ranks seventh in the shot put. Gardom ranks 10
th in the high jump entering the weekend.
