NEW ORLEANS, La. – LC State Women's Tennis took on another NAIA top 10 program on Friday in No. 5 William Carey (Miss.).
Gwyn Heim highlighted the contest for the Warriors in her three-set battle at the Xavier/Dillard Invitational.
The Crusaders swept doubles play to earn the first point of the match.
Rayana Shah and
Naiara Montero teamed up in the third doubles match to force a tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (7-3).
Heim won her first set 6-4 in the fourth slot. The match was clinched before the end of her contest, so the third set was played as a tiebreaker. She dropped the match by scores of 4-6, 6-2, 1-0.
Senior
Paige Noble-Lucas picked up four games in her No. 3 singles match. She fell by scores of 6-3, 6-0.
