LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Women's Tennis, receiving votes in the national poll, won its third straight match on Saturday with a 7-0 sweep of the College of Idaho.
The Warriors earned the doubles point with wins in the second and third matches.
Gwyn Heim and
Lulu Monnayoo took the No. 2 doubles contest 6-2 while
Naiara Montero and
Rayana Shah teamed up for a 6-4 win in No. 3 doubles.
Shah battled through three sets for her singles victory in the top spot. After a loss in the first frame, she edged her opponent in the next two for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 win.
LC State took the other five singles matches in straight sets.
Carisa Liebenberg had the largest margin of victory with a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 6 singles and Heim earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory in third singles.
Monnayoo won No. 2 singles 7-5, 6-2, and
Rylie Gettmann matched that score in the fifth spot.
Ana Govea won 6-3, 6-3 in fourth singles.

The Warriors conclude the long weekend with a match on Sunday against NCAA Division III Whitman. First serve is set for 1 p.m. in the Tennis Center.
