Another Career Day Earns Carrara Sixth Place at CCC Multi

ASHLAND, Ore. – Cameron Carrara concluded the best decathlon of his young career on Friday and earned three points for LC State Men's Track and Field at the 2026 Cascade Conference Multi Championships, presented by U.S. Bank. The sophomore finished sixth overall with a career-best score of 5859 points.
 
"Great competition all-around for Cameron," coach Kurtis Bonner said. "Cameron set personal bests in four of his five events on day two and finished with a 500-point personal best overall in the decathlon. Great end to his sophomore season as a decathlete. The future is bright for Cameron."
 
Carrara had personal-best marks in four of five events for the second straight day and recorded career bests in eight total events on the week.
 
The sophomore started his day with a third-place finish in the 110m hurdles. He ran the fastest race of his career with a time of 16.08. Carrara also notched a PR in both the discus and pole vault. He was seventh in the discus (34.75m) and 11th in the pole vault (2.90m).
 
Carrara placed eighth in his final field event, the javelin, with a 42.87m throw, then recorded a big PR of 4:57.43 to finish fifth in the 1500m. He shaved nearly 15 seconds off his previous best time in the distance event.
