RESULTS
PORTLAND, Ore. – Trenton Johnson now owns all four horizontal jump records at LC State after a record-breaking leap in the outdoor long jump on Saturday at Lewis & Clark College's Larry Byerly Invitational. The senior from Nampa has the best jumps in Warrior history in the indoor and outdoor triple jumps and long jumps.

"Pretty long weekend, but a very good one," coach Mike Collins said. "Finally had some decent weather, and even though we were a little bit short on some performances, overall, we had a pretty outstanding set of days. Some new conference qualifiers, more names are in the record book and a huge positive outlook towards the last couple of meets of the season as we head into conference and hopefully nationals for a lot of these athletes."

Johnson landed his school record long jump at 6.93m to finish third at the meet. Camden Koerner also leapt into the record book at No. 3 with a mark of 6.89m to finish fifth. Max Funk placed 39th (5.64m). Johnson competed in the final event of the night where he just missed a national standard in the triple jump (14.58m) to finish second.

Aidan Grenier ran the second-fastest 400m hurdles race in LC State history to finish fourth at the meet with a time of 54.11. He was sixth in the 110m hurdles (15.49).

Junior James Bogdanowicz cleared the third-best height ever by a Warrior in the pole vault to finish fifth at the meet. He hit a mark of 4.69m, while Brandon Decker (4.24m, 12th place) and Zack Wolfe (3.94m, 20th place) also cleared personal bests.

The 4x100m relay team of Koerner, Jordan Castillo, Preston Cooper and Collin Wimer was just off the school record and finished with a time of 41.12 to place third.

Cooper later led the Warriors in the 100m dash with a 12th-place finish (10.99). Michael Colvin was 16th (11.09), Castillo placed 17th (11.12), Wimer was 20th (11.16) and Avery Seal was 54th (11.59). Seal later led LC State in the 400m in 22nd place (22.59) with Colvin in 45th (23.30) and Decker in 98th (25.27).

In distance events, Tristin O'Brien and Ben Vernon each ran a PR in the 5,000m. O'Brien finished 10th (14:53.06) and Vernon was 33rd (15:49.86).

Kobe Wessels ran a time of 3:53.20 to take fourth place in the 1,500m. Alexander Fry led the Warriors in the 10,000m race in eighth place (33:11.48). Connor Alexander placed ninth (33:25.73), Manuel Valdez was 10th (33:50.15) and Dawson Welliver finished 18th (37:01.08).

Isahi Salinas finished 17th in the high jump at 1.77m.
