ATLANTA – Lewis-Clark State Women's Basketball exemplified what it means to be a student-athlete with top marks in the classroom as well as on the court. The Warrior women were recognized as part of the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll with the eighth-best team GPA in the NAIA. LC State finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.716 grade point average and had six 4.0 GPAs.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
"I am always so incredibly impressed with our team's dedication to academic and athletic excellence, but to be recognized as No. 8 in the whole NAIA for the collective GPA is truly remarkable," coach
Caelyn Orlandi said. "I am so proud of all the time and energy the team gives to represent Warrior Women's Basketball in such a positive way. They all put the student in student-athlete, and our upperclassman have done an excellent job of setting a standard for our underclassman to follow. Congratulations to our Warrior team."
LC State Women's Basketball had the highest team GPA in the Cascade Conference. Six players had a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the spring:
Grace Beardin,
Tatum Brager,
Ellee Brockman,
Sitara Byrd,
Madalyn Green and
Lindsey Wilson. The Warriors had 11 student-athletes earn at least a 3.75 to end the academic year.
