LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Women's Basketball announced its second signee from the class of 2027 in Moses Lake, Wash., native Makenna Klitzke. The senior at Zillah High School will join the Warriors for the 2027-28 season.

"Makenna has had a tremendous career at Zillah and will continue to have an awesome senior year, had a fantastic summer playing for the Blazers and I know she is going to have a fantastic career as a Warrior," coach Caelyn Orlandi said. "We are so thrilled to be adding Makenna to our family. She is a fantastic student, is an excellent teammate and I have no doubt will fit in perfectly with our program and what we stand for."

Klitzke averaged 18.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 blocks per game as a junior for the Leopards and was voted the league MVP and First-Team All-State. She plays AAU basketball for the Northwest Blazers. Klitzke also competes in volleyball and track and field at Zillah.

"Makenna is an extremely versatile forward. She can stretch the floor to hit the 3 and can post up," Orlandi explained. "She runs the floor hard and this summer she has shown that she is an excellent passer as well. She played on an extremely talented Blazers team this summer and played against elite competition. Her stats and accolades speak for themselves, and she has earned every one of them through hard work and dedication to the game."

"I chose LC State because of the culture they have there," Klitzke said. "It is so hard to find a place with culture like LC. Also, the coaching staff was so welcoming and so were the players. Everyone seemed like they got along so well and I can't wait to be a part of that."
