LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Women's Basketball added to its 2027 signing class with the signing of Emalie Jacoby, announced by coach Caelyn Orlandi. Jacoby joins June Fiander, Makenna Klitzke, Elise Kingston and Taren Bateman in the group of Warriors that will start at LC State in the fall of 2027.
 
"We have watched Emalie for the last couple years, and I have always been impressed with how she plays," Orlandi said. "Emalie is so incredibly athletic and has the natural ability to score the basketball. She reads passing lanes, can defend the full length of the court, and has an incredible basketball IQ. She is a versatile player, can play multiple positions and impacts winning whenever she is on the court."
 
Jacoby is a native of Onalaska, Wash., and attends Onalaska High School. She averaged 18.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 3.5 assists per game as a junior and is a three-time first-team all-league honoree. Jacoby was voted to the All-Area Chronicle Team the last two seasons and also excels in volleyball and track and field.
 
"Emalie is a fantastic student and dedicates time and effort into everything she does," Orlandi added. "She will elevate Warrior Basketball and I am so excited for her future in a Warrior uniform."
 
"I chose LC State Women's Basketball because from my first conversations with the coaches, I felt comfortable," Jacoby said. "They were honest and made it clear that they cared about me as a person, not just as a basketball player. When I met the team, they were welcoming and made me feel like I already belonged. I could see myself growing as a player and as a person in that kind of environment. I knew LC State was a place I could call home."
