INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Arizona Christian wasn't too friendly to LCSC athletics today.
 
After the men's tennis team was knocked out of the GSAC Tournament in the morning, the LCSC women's tennis team was also defeated by the Firestorm, 5-4 in Wednesday's semifinal match.
 
ACU was able to win at No. 1 Singles to cap off the victory in the last match of the day. With the loss, the Warriors will await their fate at an at-large bid into the NAIA National Championship in Mobile, Ala. Later in May.
 
Hannah Uhlenkott and Stephanie Buckingham got the Warriors on the board first with an 8-1 win at No. 2 Doubles. Laura Rosselli and Anna Rodriguez almost pulled off a win at No. 3 Doubles but fell 8-6 as ACU held a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches.
 
The Firestorm would later take a 3-1 into single play but wins by Begona Andres at No. 5 Singles and Jen Roux at No. 6 Singles tied the match at 3-3. Uhlenkott dropped her No. 2 Singles match as ACU regained the small 4-3 lead but again the Warriors came back, this time Rosselli winning at No. 4 Singles 6-3, 6-2 to tie the match again, 4-4.
 
All eyes were on No. 1 Singles with Lauren Lang hoping to win the match for LCSC. After defeating Mikayla Morgan in the first set 6-2, Lang fell 7-5, 6-1 in the final two as the Firestorm secured the victory.
