Women's Tennis | 04.22.2026

GLENDALE, Ariz. – A trio of LC State Women's Tennis student-athletes earned All-Great Southwest Athletic Conference accolades for the 2026 season, announced by the GSAC on Wednesday. Lulu Monnayoo, Naiara Montero and Rayana Shah were each voted all-conference for the first time in their careers. Kai Fong was voted the GSAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.

"It is a nice recognition for the Warriors in the GSAC," Fong said. "Knowing these players, what it is more important to them is for the team to do well in the conference event this weekend."

Monnayoo was the top doubles player for the Warriors this season with her team-leading eight victories. She has six wins in the top doubles spot, including four when paired with Rylie Gettmann. The junior has won six singles matches primarily in the top spot.

Montero is tied for the team lead in singles wins with a 10-7 record heading into the conference tournament. The lone senior on the squad is 5-4 in No. 3 singles and has five doubles victories this season.

Shah has had a breakout season for the Warriors in the top half of the lineup. She has seven singles wins with three at No. 1 singles and four at No. 2 singles. Shah has five doubles victories this season.

Fong has guided the Warrior women to their highest ranking since 2017 and the best chance at a bid to nationals in the last 10 seasons. LC State earned its No. 20 ranking on Wednesday in the final poll of the regular season and holds a 10-8 record heading into the GSAC postseason tournament. Fong and the Warriors are 6-2 against NAIA competition this season and earned the top seed in the GSAC Women's Tennis Championship.
