NAIA TOP 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The women of LC State Tennis moved up one spot to No. 20 in the final NAIA Women's Tennis Top 25 poll of the regular season for the program's highest ranking since 2017. The Warriors open postseason play this weekend at the GSAC Tournament.
LC State went 1-2 in the final weekend of the regular season, but competed against some of the NAIA's best teams. The Warriors earned a 5-2 victory over LSU Shreveport but fell to then-No. 8 LSU Alexandria and then-No. 14 Louisiana Christian.
The Warrior women hold a .537 winning percentage in singles action this season with 58 wins individually.
Gwyn Heim and
Naiara Montero lead the team with 10 singles victories each.
Lulu Monnayoo has the most doubles wins for the Warriors with eight, primarily paired with
Rylie Gettmann.
Around the GSAC, Stanton (Calif.) is receiving votes.
UP NEXT
LC State will compete in the GSAC semifinal on Friday at 10 a.m. in Glendale, Ariz. The opponent will be determined in the quarterfinal on Thursday.
